Catalyst Project Update

On our way!

‘Really, our journey started with the go-ahead from the Cardano community to our Catalyst 5 project proposal. Since then, incredible things started to happen, opening up different ways and paths to seek solutions for the ever growing challenge in Africa to ensure affordable and green houses’, says Glen ‘This has been an extremely busy time as the Empowa team seeks to get this incredibly exciting project off the ground. Not many people realise that Empowa was launched with no financial backing – so our team has been working part time, but with full passion, to lay the Empowa foundation’.

In the last three months, we have managed to achieve the following:

• Start building an amazingly talented, dynamic and passionate team
• Raise funding from strategic private investors
• Raise funding from the Cardano community through Project Catalyst
• Support the building of the first eco-friendly houses in Mozambique
• Mint and sell the first Empowa NFT’s
  Start an Empowa community of like-minded people
• Launch an ISPO

And this is just the beginning! We know that Empowa is an ambitious undertaking. However, we believe passionately that something has to be done to address the backlog of 50 million homes in Africa – and if not us, then whom? Join us, as we build the foundations of an opportunity that has significant potential to create significant wealth and make an ever bigger difference to the lives of millions of people.

Empowa Founding Community NFT

To enable our early supporters a unique and limited edition NFT we launched our Founding Community NFTs. We were truly overwhelmed to experience how well they were received by our rapidly growing and passionate community. Our Founding Community NFTs were launched in September, and in a month’s time all 1024 were sold!

Why a Founding Community NFT?

If you read our White Paper, you will see that NFTs play a vital role in the Empowa Platform. We are already working on creative NFT campaigns to create collectibles that enable us to support the development of affordable housing in Africa. We need to consider all aspects of these NFTs including artists, payments, returns and value creation – and we would like to validate these with the Empowa Founding Community.

With what purpose?

‘We launched the Empowa Founding Community NFTs as a try-out on how well they would be received. Proof of Concept:
NFTs are a core component of Empowa’s mission to use DeFi to provide sustainable and affordable housing solutions. To demonstrate that Empowa can deliver on this mission, we need to deliver both housing on the ground in Africa and NFTs and blockchain transactions on Cardano. Together, these elements demonstrate the proof of our #RealFi capabilities.

Building Community:
Empowa Community members will have a unique place in the history and development of Empowa – not because of the amount of money you have or contribute, but because you are the first. Join us!
