In addition to our projects on the ground, Empowa is making significant waves globally, thanks to our participation in high-profile industry events. Recently, Glen represented Empowa at the Tech For Impact Summit in Japan, where he had the opportunity to share our work alongside Cardano visionaries like John O’Connor and Charles Hoskinson. This event not only enhanced our visibility in Japan but also helped to raise awareness about Empowa’s mission among the influential Japanese Cardano community.

Glen also attended the IUHF World Congress in Berlin, where he met with several African banks to discuss potential partnerships. These discussions are aimed at incorporating our Rent-to-Own housing solutions into their offerings, further expanding Empowa’s influence in the affordable housing market across Africa.

A banking partner significantly accelerates the launch of our offering into a new market, as they typically provide both funding and potential tenants, as well as facilitate any necessary local licensing. Empowa’s primary role then focuses on identifying local development partners and implementing blockchain-based technology to manage the new product offering.

Finally, both Marie and Greg joined a two-part series on the Crypto Altruism podcast. The episodes focused on how we’ve leveraged Web3 technology to scale climate-resilient housing in Mozambique. You can listen to episode 1 below.

Empowa’s journey is not just limited to Kenya. As part of our vision to expand affordable housing across Africa, we’ve been working tirelessly on new and exciting projects, including the Maraza project in Mozambique.

Expanding into Mozambique: The Maraza Project
Our Maraza project aims to create affordable housing solutions for Mozambican communities, and we are making great progress towards finalizing the funding for Phase 1 and hope to have a more concrete update before the end of the year. This project is a reflection of our continued commitment to using blockchain technology to address housing deficits across the continent. With an emphasis on sustainability and accessibility, we believe this project can be a blueprint for similar ventures in other African nations.

The future holds exciting possibilities for Empowa as we continue to engage with new partners and communities globally. As we expand our reach, we remain dedicated to providing innovative and inclusive housing solutions wherever they are needed most.
