Marie-Odile Zanders joins Empowa
Empowa is excited to announce that Marie-Odile Zanders has joined the Empowa team on a full time basis to assist with building in-country partnerships with property developers across Africa.
Marie-Odile has extensive global experience in the affordable housing arena, most recently as co-founder and non-executive Director Casa Real, Mozambique. Casa Real is an affordable housing social enterprise and the first delivery partner of Empowa. As a social enterprise, Casa Real re-invests any surplus into affordable housing projects and Marie-Odile has to date, for the most part, volunteered her time and expertise to assist Casa Real get off the ground. Empowa is therefore clear that there is no conflict of interest and that it helps Empowa that Marie-Odile understands the requirements of both parties for a successful relationship.
At Empowa, Marie-Odile will be focused on using this experience and current learnings to better develop projects and relationships across Africa. We look forward to making this happen and thank Marie-Odile for joining our journey.
